Depois do ar, a comida! E continuamos submersos...

After the air, we need food! Still submerged ...
This week we begin the study of the composite stitches. As the name says, new stitch formed by two or more simple ones. Wheatear is the name of this. Created from the join of a one chain stitch and two backstitches. Can be used as an outline - in-sequence- or individually, taking the form of a "bull's head."

ResponderExcluirGreta use of this stitch, Luiz. It's fun you mention this stitch looking like a bull's head, in Dutch this stitch is called ossenkopsteek (ox head stitch)!
ResponderExcluirI really like your underwater scenes and your wheatear stitches are perfectly integrated.
ResponderExcluirYou've always got such simple and clever ideas. Great work.
ResponderExcluirAre some of the underwater scenes embroidered over printed fabric? I have a wonderful photo from Maui of a turtle, within an aquarium, reflected are palm trees. The image appears to be a turtle in the trees... If you wish to print it on cloth and enhace it, it shall be sent as JPeg.. ~~Sandra ♥
