Happy Easter to whoever is Easter!
I tried the point of the week (Satin stitch) to embroider easter eggs. Oh, I thought of embroidery also a rabbit.
I stitched with Appleton Wool I just receive. It was my first try. Indeed, the first double, because the Satin was also the first attempt... I know I need to train more, but I liked the initial result.
The Wool settle down on linen in a very "comfortable". Very good to embroider. Unfortunately, we do not have in Brazil, only imported, but worth the investment.
I tried a few types of padds with perle and felt, sometimes closer to the edge, sometimes further away. I made the outlines with the split stitch and the rabbit with the chain stitch. In the end, some French knots and running stitch to give a basis for the eggs.
To put a needle I used a small piece of masking tape. Wrap the end of the line with masking tape, press, take a tip with the scissors and you're done! the line is in the eye of the needle painlessly!
Thank you all!

Hi Luiz, What a splendit idea with the needle. And the Easter eggs with rabbit are just a lovely idea. Those bright colors are a necessity after winter days.
ResponderExcluirHappy Easter!
Such a cute Easter bunny, love his tail! Happy Easter.
ResponderExcluirBeautiful stitching, as usual. Your Easter picture made me smile.
ResponderExcluirYour easter bunny is very cute, and the satin stitch eggs are beautifully worked for a first time. This stitch is my nemisis together with long and short stitch so you are very clever to nail it first go.
ResponderExcluirWonderful idea with the masking tape. I like your bunny and like especially how you nested the eggs at her feet, anchoring them with grass.
